The Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Upgrades Design Study is intended to evaluate design alternatives for the repair and/or replacement of six (6) sanitary sewer pump stations to better serve our residents.
Background
Princeton owns and operates a separate sanitary sewer system which conveys four (4) Million Gallons per Day (MGD), through 150 miles of pipe, to the Stony Brook Regional Sewerage Authority (SBRSA) River Road treatment plant. The sewer includes nine (9) publicly owned and operated sewage pump stations. Six (6) of these pump stations are past their intended service lives and face significant flooding risks. The pump stations included in this project are the All Saints, Crooked Tree, Herrontown, Mercer, Pretty Brook, and Winfield Pump Stations.
