Princeton Recreation Department is partnering with Makenzie Scholer, a Certified Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Instructor to offer this exciting new program!
What is RWID?
Rhythm Works Integrative Dance a ground-breaking rhythm and dance class. This class is perfect for recreational beginners and is an ideal environment for students with physical challenges, Autism, Down Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder and other individual learning differences. Who is it offered to?
We will be offering (2) classes per session; ages 2-6 and ages 7-12. Open to Princeton Residents and Non-Residents.
Session 1: Sunday, October 17
Session 2: Sunday, November 7
Session 3: Sunday, November 14
Session 4: Sunday, November 21
Ages 2-6 class will be from 10:00-10:45am each Sunday.
Ages 7-12 class will be from 11:00-11:45am each Sunday.
Fee: $15.00 per session
Location: Outdoors, in the Community Room @ CP Pool (380 Witherspoon Street Princeton, NJ)
Makenzie Scholer; Certified in Rhythm Works Integrative Dance: She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with minors in both Dance Performance and Psychology. While attending West Chester University, she was involved in the University Dance Company. Makenzie grew up dancing and began at the young age of two. Her passion for dance began the minute she started dancing and has not stopped. She has carried this passion with her throughout her life. She has studied in the styles of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, and Pointe. Through high school Makenzie taught classes at her home studio Triangle Dance Center in Hillsborough, NJ. Looking to the future, Makenzie is attending graduate school to study Applied Behavior Analysis. She hopes that she can continue to combine her passions of movement therapy, and dance to aid students in learning.
