Mercer County Committee

We are encouraging applicants who need to submit a Petition for County Committee to submit this via email to the Clerk's Office or fax to 609-688-2031. If individuals want to hand in their petitions please call 609-924-5704 to indicate they will be coming to the building and enter through the Police Department, 1 Valley Road. There will be a dropbox in front of the Clerk's office for the Petition.

Petition Filing Deadline for Primary Election

The petition filing deadline for the primary election is March 30, 2020, before 4 pm. Petitions must be delivered to the:

Nomination Petition Filing Deadline for Independent Candidates

The petition filing deadline for the independent candidates is July 7, 2020, before 4 pm. Petitions must be delivered to the:

Voter Registration

Mail-in registration forms are available online or through the Princeton Clerk's Office at 609-924-5704, when the offices re-open.

The deadline for registering to vote or changing your address before this year's July 7, 2020 Primary Election is June 16, 2020.

Vote by Mail

If you are going to be out of town or unavailable to vote on Election Day or wish to Vote by Mail, applications are available online from the New Jersey Division of Elections.

The deadline to apply for a Vote by Mail Ballot by mail for the Primary Election is June 30, 2020. You may apply in person at the Mercer County Clerk's Office up until July 6, 2020, at 3 pm.

Party Affiliation

If you wish to change your Party Affiliation for the Primary Election you must do so by May 13, 2020. Change of Party Affiliation forms are available in our office or online from the New Jersey Division of Elections and must be filed with the Mercer County Clerk's Office prior to the deadline.

All applications must be received at the Mercer County Clerk's Office for processing.
